Accredited Practicing Dietitians

An Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) is the title earned by a food and nutrition expert in Australia who has completed a University qualification in dietetics that is accredited by the Dietitians Association of Australia, and who has made a commitment to continued professional development in nutrition.

Accredited Practicing Dietitians work in the treatment and prevention of disease, in hospitals as part of medical teams, as well as in private practice, aged care or other health care facilities. APDs also work in community and public health settings, food industry, journalism, sports nutrition, and corporate wellness programs.
